Rent a surfboard and ride the waves of Busua! Currently we have more than 20 Soft Top surfboard rentals ranging in size from 8' up to 11'. The Soft Top surfboards are ideal for beginners as they are extremely buoyant and have foam noses and rubber fins- features that make learning safe by reducing the risk of injury. For intermediate to advance surfers, Black Star offers a wide variety of high performance short boards of different shapes and sizes. Additionally, we now have 5 epoxy long boards for rent, ranging in size from 8'4" to 9'6". This has added some higher performance longboards to our surfboard rental quiver.

Once you’ve had a surfing lesson, you will find that surfing is a unique experience that is, at the same time, both peaceful and exhilarating. Nothing can match the rush of paddling for the perfect wave, jumping to your feet and riding a wall of pure energy. There is also something very Zen about in the water and waiting for your wave that is hard to equal on land.

There are now opportunities to do some snorkeling in Busua! Abokwa Island, the picturesque Island that you see from Busua Beach, is blessed with an abundance of tropical fish on its western reef. Black Star surf has a good selection of high-quality snorkel, masks and fins for rent and can arrange for a boat guided tour to explore Abokwa Island’s undersea beauty.
